Respect Life Ministry

“Every life is a gift. Every life is sacred.”

Summary
The Respect Life Ministry works to build a culture of life by fostering a deeper understanding of the
inherent dignity and value of every human person—from conception to natural death.

Purpose & Responsibilities
At St. Matthew’s, we open our hearts to the
Gospel of Life by loving, nurturing, and protecting the most vulnerable through education, prayer, service, and action.
Members participate in monthly initiatives that promote the dignity of life at all stages, including:

  • Holy Hour for Life during Adoration on the first Wednesday of each month
  • Parish Prayers for Life, led by Fr. Pradeep, outside A Woman’s Choice abortion clinic
  • Supporting the Women’s Help Center through diaper and baby item donations, made possible by second collections
  • Promoting volunteer and donation opportunities for parishioners to engage with the Women’s Help Center on Blanding Blvd.

Volunteer Requirements

  • A belief that all life is precious to God
  • A desire to promote a culture of life through prayer and action
  • Meetings are held as needed to coordinate upcoming activities
